01 / OVERVIEW

A comprehensive redesign and development project spanning five websites for San Marco Group.

Bringing together a shared visual language, individual venue identities and custom digital functionality to create a more cohesive experience across the hospitality group.

THE CHALLENGE

A more considered approach.

San Marco Group required a refreshed digital presence that connected its restaurant venues while preserving their individual identities.

Beyond the redesign, the websites needed to improve how customers accessed menus, submitted enquiries and subscribed to marketing communications.

The objective was to create a cohesive collection of responsive websites that balanced visual consistency with practical functionality.

THE APPROACH

Consistency without compromising identity.

The four restaurant websites were developed around a shared design language, using consistent typography, navigation and page structures, while retaining each venue's established brand colours.

The central San Marco Group website adopted a different visual approach, establishing a distinct presence for the parent brand.

Custom functionality was developed alongside the redesign to improve the customer experience and simplify how content and enquiries were managed.

Selected Details.

01 / A shared website system

Four restaurant websites share consistent typography, navigation and page structures while retaining each venue’s established brand colours. A distinct design for the central group website brings the collection together.

02 / Menus within the website

A custom restaurant menu system uses structured WordPress content, reusable Elementor components and JavaScript navigation, allowing visitors to browse food and drink menus directly within each restaurant website.

03 / Connected enquiries and subscriptions

Custom enquiry and newsletter forms across all five websites connect with Mailchimp. Conditional marketing consent keeps general enquiries separate from optional newsletter subscriptions.

OUTCOME

Design-led. Function-focused.

Five redesigned WordPress websites were developed using Elementor Pro, combining responsive layouts with a consistent approach to navigation and content presentation.

A custom restaurant menu system was introduced using structured WordPress content, reusable Elementor components and JavaScript navigation, allowing visitors to browse food and drink menus directly within the website.

Custom enquiry and newsletter forms were also implemented across all five websites, integrating with Mailchimp through conditional marketing consent logic.

Together, these developments established a more cohesive digital experience while providing practical tools for managing website content and customer communications.

A more connected digital experience.

The project delivered five redesigned websites with a recognisable visual relationship, improved content presentation and integrated marketing functionality.

Visitors can browse restaurant menus directly within the websites, while custom forms provide a clear distinction between general enquiries and optional marketing subscriptions.

The resulting digital platform supports the individual restaurants while establishing a more consistent and practical foundation for the wider San Marco Group.
