01 / OVERVIEW

A working Figma prototype for a commercial property platform, designed to help businesses navigate the journey from finding workspace to fit-out and ongoing operations.

Building on an early concept and basic mock-up supplied by another designer, Studio Gio developed the product thinking, user experience and interface into a coherent proposition the client could demonstrate to potential customers.

THE CHALLENGE

The initial idea connected businesses with property, fit-out, legal and financial services. But a directory alone offered little reason to stay: users could find a supplier’s name and contact them directly, bypassing the proposed referral model.

The challenge was to define useful product behaviour, connect the services into a clear journey and give the client something tangible to validate before committing to a full build.

THE APPROACH

Studio Gio mapped the journey around a business’s workspace project, from requirements and budget through the stages of securing, designing and operating a space.

Project dashboards, relevant partner recommendations and managed introduction tracking were designed to give users a reason to return. Working through the flow also exposed gaps and edge cases in the original idea, helping the client make more considered product decisions.

OUTCOME

The clickable Figma prototype brings together project setup, a staged workspace journey, partner profiles and introduction requests with visible progress. It turns a loose concept into an experience that can be demonstrated and discussed.

Alongside the user experience, Studio Gio explored the proposed referral model and suggested a potential white-label route for larger commercial estate agencies, allowing each agency to tailor its own preferred partner network. These commercial options remain proposals to validate.

Prototype screens use illustrative agency and partner content.

The completed prototype gives the client a practical tool to showcase the proposition, gather interest and test demand before taking on the cost of application development.

The project is currently in validation. A production build is a possible next phase, subject to evidence of demand and an agreed scope.
